Group Activities
Sanford Homeschoolers offers a variety of events throughout the year to help homeschoolers meet new friends in our community. You must be a group member to view our events during the school year on our member's only app or website page. All of our summer activities are posted in our facebook group for anyone to attend.
Field Trips
Field trips typically take place on Fridays and occasionally will have additional fees. We travel both locally and all over North Carolina to wherever adventure calls us.
Special Events
Some of our special events include Valentine's Card Exchange, Winter Holiday Party, Spring Egg Hunt, Halloween Party, International Fair, NOT Back to School Party, Field Day, Mother/Daughter Events, Art Show, Talent Show and many more!
Parent Support
Our parent support team coordinates mom/dad/parent's night out that takes place usually Friday or Saturday evenings. Throughout the year we also host workshops and ongoing support groups for homeschooling parents.
Community Service
Our community service team helps coordinate opportunities throughout the year where group members can give back to our community.
Teen Hangouts
On Fridays and/or Saturdays we host teen hangouts for grades 6-12 at various homes or venues such as restaurants or jump parks.
Themed Clubs
All group members can attend any clubs that they would like throughout the school year and students are responsible for their own supplies. Grades 6-12 have Anime Club, Craft/Life Skills Club, FFA Club, News & Yearbook Club, Shooting Club and Book Club. Grades 1-5 have Craft/Life Skills Club and Book Club. All ages can attend Game & Lego Club and Curiosity Untamed.
Homeschool Park Day
On the first Friday of every month we host a Sanford, NC community wide homeschool park day. The event is posted publicly on our facebook page and facebook group. This is a great opportunity to meet some of our group members and see if our group is a good fit for your family.
