Classes & Clubs Co-op

Q:

How can I become eligible for early Co-op Class and Club registration?

A:

Teachers are eligible to register their students for classes each semester before all other members. You can submit our teacher interest form by clicking the link under the Co-op tab on the website. You can also send us an email at [email protected]

Q:

How many students are in each Co-op Class or Club?

A:

10-12 students per class and 8-10 students per cooking class.

Q:

Are parents required to teach in order to participate in Co-op Classes & Clubs?

A:

No, we have several volunteer positions to choose from such as teacher, assistant teacher, floater, hallway supervisor, cleanup, setup, playground supervisor etc.

Are Co-op Classes and Clubs a drop off program?

A:

No, parents must stay on site at all times

Q:

Can I sign my student up for a Co-op Class or Club that is not my student's age group?

A:

Class registration takes the child's age into account when the class begins and it will not allow you to signup for an older age group. The registration system will allow you to register your child in lower age groups if you wish.

What is the minimum student age that can register for Co-op Classes and Clubs?

A:

You must have at least one child that is age 3 by September 1st, 2025 in order to register for Co-op Classes and Clubs.

What do Co-op fees cover?

A:

The Co-op Classes & Clubs registration fee covers the cost of our facility rental and liability insurance, as well as printing supplies and internet for teachers to use in their classrooms.

Q:

Do I have to attend classes all day Wednesday and Thursday?

A:

You can participate in 1 or 8 classes, it's completely up to you. You do not have to attend both days.

How much does co-op cost?

A:

$40 per family for one day

$80 per family for two days

This fee is charged for Fall and Spring semester enrollment.

Forest Wildlings

Q:

Does Forest Wildlings have a max capacity?

A:

No, we do not have a registration limit for Forest Wildlings because it is always an outside activity. You can signup anytime throughout the year. Registration typically opens two weeks before a new themed session begins.

What ages can participate in Forest Wildlings?

A:

All ages are welcome to join us!

Q:

What should I bring to Forest Wildlings?

A:

You are not required to bring anything to Forest Wildlings. We recommend a nature backpack filled with items of your choosing.

How much does Forest Wildlings cost?

A:

Forest Wildlings is included in the annual group membership.

Q:

What does group membership include?

A:

Group membership includes Forest Wildlings, field trips, holiday parties, special events, teen hangouts, mom's night out, community service events, parent support, custom transcripts and diplomas, buy/sell/trade platform, business directory etc. All group members are welcome to attend any of these activities through the year!

Co-op Classes & Clubs on Wednesdays and Thursdays is optional for group members and has a seperate registration process, enrollment fee and age restrictions.

What is the minimum student age for annual group membership?

A:

Families with students of all ages may become Sanford Homeschoolers group members and participate in Forest Wildlings, field trips and events.

You must have at least one child that is age 3 by September 1st, 2025 in order to register for Co-op Classes and Clubs on Wednesdays.

Are memberships per family or per student?

A:

Our annual group membership is $17/per family

If you choose to participate in SH Co-op Classes & Clubs: $40 for 1 day of co-op classes. $80 for 2 days of co-op classes
